Over the past 10 years we tested blue ocean leadership with a number of companies in a variety of industries. The BRG example in our May 2014 Harvard Business Review article, “Blue Ocean Leadership,” was one of them. For obvious confidentiality reasons, we are not able to disclose the names of the organizations at this point. Understandably, few organizations are eager to expose the internal dynamics and challenges they face. As this approach now becomes known to the public through our publications on it, we expect an increasing number of organizations, both in developed countries and emerging markets, to apply blue ocean leadership to their organizations. We look forward to learning of their successes as well as challenges in putting the idea into practice so that organizations can become more inspiring places to work with higher performance.
