How can a current leadership profile be evaluated?

By leadership profile, we mean a set of leadership practices expressed on a blue ocean leadership analytic visual – a leadership canvas. The current or as-is leadership canvas is drawn based on thorough analyses of employee interviews regarding which act and activities their leaders spend most of their time on, and which are key to motivation and performance but are neglected by their leaders. These acts and activities on the leadership canvas are therefore determined by how frequently they are cited in the interviews. The leadership profile on the canvas indicates the time and effort leaders spend on each of these acts and activities based on consistency across employee responses for a particular level. In this way, management can see and evaluate visually, the current state of the leadership practice and the gap between it and the desired to-be leadership profile.
